I always get amazed at how effortlessly our Universe speaks to us. There are so many things that we don’t understand and sometimes question as well. Our ego wants us to believe that everything is just a coincidence and if we give into that, suddenly we don’t seem to recognize the signs anymore. However, it only takes us to open up our hearts to it and suddenly we spot all the different ways the Universe speaks to us.
I am sure you have experienced strange events and synchronicities, received signs and omens. And I am more than sure that more than once before you simply thought hm, that’s really strange or what a coincidence. We all possess a 6th sense and most of the time when something out of the ordinary occurs we get a feeling that the Universe is trying to tell us something important. When you get that feeling and have even the slightest doubt if it’s actually just a coincidence or a ‘meaningless’ sign, that’s when you know. That’s when you know what the Universe is trying to communicate with you. It is trying to knock on your door and you need to open it.
In this blog post we will explore the 7 magical ways our Universe speaks to us, so make sure to read closely (just make sure to protect your eyes from the blue light haha).
so what are the ways that the Universe speaks to you?
1. Synchronicities
I am sure you have already heard about synchronicities and even experienced them yourself. Nonetheless, they are often not given the significance that they deserve. Synchronicities don’t have to come in any specific way or order, so don’t overthink it.
For those of you who are wondering, what exactly are synchronicities?
The way I like to view it is that synchronicities are events that follow each other and carry the same message. These events don’t seem to be connected, but somehow they seem to carry the same meaning. This may all sound VERY confusing if you are hearing this for the first time and I’m not even sure if my explanation is great.
Let me dive further and give you some examples.
Let’s say you were just thinking about a specific person and you hear your phone ring. When you see who’s ringing, you realize that it’s the same person. That’s synchronicity.
Let’s say that all of a sudden you keep seeing a rabbit everywhere. Maybe you saw it in a video and then you spotted it in an ad. Maybe afterwards you heard a song about rabbits (lol). That’s synchronicity.
Maybe you keep seeing the same number everywhere you go? That’s synchronicity.
Maybe you were just looking at some amazing pictures of New Zealand and the next day your friend casually mentions that they saw a movie shot in New Zealand? That’s synchronicity.
I could go on and on with these examples because they can be as straightforward or as crazy as they get. However, I wouldn’t be able to finish this blog post if I were to do that. The important thing is that you learn to recognize them when they appear. And sure, I understand that some people may find it hard to believe that there is no such thing as a coincidence. In that case, I encourage you to notice if these synchronicities keep reappearing. If they do, stop doubting yourself and listen.
Hearing the same lyrics? Listen to the words. Seeing the same numbers? Google their meaning, or think about what that number may mean to you. If you keep seeing the same animal, you can also google its meaning. If what you’re seeing or hearing is super random and you can’t seem to connect it to any meaning, treat it as a sign that the Universe is with you.
2. Numbers
I’ve already briefly mentioned the importance of reoccurring numbers in the ‘Synchronicities’ section. However, I want to emphasize that the numbers don’t have to keep reappearing for them to carry any meaning. The Universe speaks in numbers they say. Be very vigilant when asking for signs from the Universe because it might just send you a sign by using numbers. You may think what is the Universe trying to tell me with numbers? Ask yourself if that particular number means anything to you. Maybe those are the birth numbers connected to a loved one who has passed away? Chances are they are listening and guiding you.
In the spiritual community people often talk about 111 or 11:11 if you are seeing it on a clock. Another popular combination is 444 or simply seeing 4 everywhere. Honestly, I don’t remember having any significant experience with the number 4. However, I do remember having weird sightings of 11:11. And no, I don’t consider it to be a coincidence because I usually don’t see this number all day, every day. Nonetheless, when this happens I know that my Spirit Guides are sending me a confirmation. It is also worth mentioning that you should be careful with your thoughts when you see this number. Your manifestation abilities are stronger during those times.
My advice is to Google the meaning of any number you’re interested in. Numerology can be fascinating, but always make sure to choose the messages you resonate with. As the Internet is full of articles on numbers, some meanings can be distorted.
3. Animals
I’m not gonna lie, this is one of my favourite ways to receive messages from the Universe. I don’t know if it’s because I feel like I have a special connection with the animals or if numbers and I are not best friends haha. However, I feel like I channel a lot of messages with animals in them and usually resonate with them fully. When interpreting the meaning behind each animal, Google is your best friend.
Animals as signs can appear to you in many different ways. You may dream about a certain animal, you may spot a certain animal and get a strong sense that you need to figure out the meaning behind it. You may also have visions of a certain animal during meditation. I love when that happens because it acts as a total surprise. The last time it happened to me, I saw a duck during my meditation which was painfully random lol. Upon checking the symbolism behind it, I totally resonated with the message.
4. Dreams
This is going to be especially exciting for those of you who dream A LOT. I myself am one of those people who remember their dreams. Not always, of course, however, I feel like I’ve gotten much better at recalling my dreams in the past year or so. I think it all has to do with the fact that I immersed myself into spirituality even more. I started working with my shadow self, practising longer meditation sessions and now have set routines when it comes to my mornings and nights.
Dreams are literally a reflection of your subconscious mind and it’s way easier to communicate with your Spirit Guides and the Universe through the realm of dreams. Sometimes the stories that happen within your dreams can be a little wonky but it’s all a matter of practice. Again, books and Google are your best friends. Learn about different signs that appear in your dreams, but don’t forget to use your intuition as well.
Our Universe speaks in mysterious ways and it can sometimes literally hand you the answer to your question through your dreams.
5. Physical Injuries or Illnesses
Physical injuries or illnesses may sound scary, however, it’s one of the most major signs when it comes to following the wrong path. If you get sick often or suddenly start injuring yourself everywhere you go, you may want to reflect on your current life choices.
If you often get sick, it may be due to an imbalance in one or several of your chakras. That may also be related to stress or some hidden trauma that you haven’t quite processed yet. That’s where shadow work comes in handy, although it is tough work.
Physical injuries may literally be the Universe’s last resort in trying to tell you that no, you should be somewhere else, doing something else. Remember, this happens after you ignore the initial signs that the Universe tries to send you.
6. Divination Cards
I love divination cards because they have helped me develop the connection between me & myself. They have also helped me develop my intuition and connection to my Spirit Guides. In essence, we all live in oneness, therefore me developing a connection with myself develops my connection to everything around me.

Oracle cards and Tarot is a wonderful way to seek guidance from the Universe and your Spirit Guides. This method is, of course, more intentional because you actually go into it expecting to receive a message. Nonetheless, use cards as a tool to literally talk to the Universe through pictures.
Sit down, ask a question, and draw cards.
7. Your Intuition
Intuition is often overlooked when it comes to receiving signs from the Universe. Why, though? As I mentioned before, we live in oneness. This means that the Universe lives within you. Never underestimate the messages your heart sends you, because they may be the most important ones you’ll ever receive.
At the end of the day, when you try to interpret different signs that the Universe sends you, you should also trust your intuition. Follow your gut. If something feels right, it probably is. If something feels off, it probably is.
